Bedroom to Bathroom Conversion & Full Plumbing Upgrade – Chesterfield
This project involved the full conversion of an existing bedroom into a modern, fully functional bathroom, alongside a complete kitchen reconfiguration on the ground floor.
The property presented significant structural challenges, including uneven floor levels due to ground movement, requiring precise levelling and careful planning to ensure long-term stability and proper drainage.
We carried out a full strip-out of the bedroom, exposing the structure and preparing the space for a complete plumbing and heating installation. New pipework was routed beneath the floor and connected to the existing system from an adjacent bathroom, with all waste pipes professionally redirected and integrated into the main external stack.
The new bathroom layout included a large bath, separate shower with tray, wall-mounted towel rail, toilet, and bidet — all installed and connected within a complex and restricted roof slope environment.
Special attention was given to waterproofing, pipe routing, and fall angles to ensure a leak-free system despite the challenging layout. Ventilation was also installed to maintain air quality and prevent moisture issues.
Due to the sloped ceiling, we designed and installed a bespoke curved ceiling feature, creating a visually striking finish while maintaining functionality within the limited headroom.
The entire room was rebuilt, including wall preparation, floor levelling, and multi-surface tiling using a combination of four different tile styles to achieve a high-end finish.
In parallel, we completed a full kitchen upgrade downstairs. This included removal and reconfiguration of existing units, relocation of appliances, installation of new plumbing and electrics, and optimisation of the layout to maximise usable space.
All electrical systems were upgraded to meet current safety standards, ensuring no electrical hazards within bathroom zones. Final works included full decoration and finishing throughout both areas.
The result is a fully transformed property, featuring a high-spec bathroom and an optimised kitchen space, both designed for durability, efficiency, and modern living.
